This Vintage 2006 particularly expresses itself by the structure of its aromas. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, allowing this wine to be kept longer.

Weather: A rather hot and dry year. The winter was very cold and the summer very hot.

Harvest:
Beginning:mid-September 2006.
Conditions: warm and dry weather.
Characteristics: abundant, rich in sugars.

Summary: Nature was generous in offering us an abundant harvest of quality. The quantity of grapes this year allowed us to sort the bunches selectively. The average weight of the bunches was between 140 and 160g.

Optimal serving temperature: 8 to 10°C (46 to 50°F)

 

COLOUR: Pale golden yellow with silver highlights and a lively, cheerful bubble.
NOSE: Clean and expressive, with notes of stewed fruit (tarte tatin, apricot tart caramelised with rosemary) blending perfectly with the hint of minerality and dried fruit. Robust, generous and powerful.
PALATE: The aromas are characterised by great freshness and structure, with flavours of dried fruit, hazelnut and toast, ripe yellow fruit and more bitter fruit such as grapefruit. The finish is very smooth, with mineral notes and long-lasting aromas combined with an elegant, harmonious and well-balanced texture.

This Champagne is the ideal accompaniment to your celebrations. Whether it’s a dinner party, a wedding or simply an evening with friends, the astonishing finesse and freshness of this vintage make it the dream choice for champagne lovers. It goes wonderfully with lobster tails, grilled Saint-Pierre, sea bass or simply as an aperitif for special occasions.
